This course prepares middle and high school educators to integrate financial literacy instruction into their curricula by developing both their personal financial knowledge and their pedagogical capacity to teach these essential life skills. Throughout the course, participants explore National Standards in K-12 Personal Finance Education, examine evidence-based curricular materials and teaching resources, and engage with expert presentations on topics including saving and investing, credit and debt management, career planning, student loans, tax literacy, and risk management. The course culminates in the development of an Action Plan that provides educators with concrete strategies for bringing financial literacy education into their classrooms, ultimately equipping students with the knowledge and decision-making skills necessary for lifelong financial wellbeing.
